1. Yarn Tenacity — The #1 Requirement for Bag Sewing Thread

Stitch close woven bag sewing thread runs through high-speed sewing machines at 800–1,500 stitches per minute. If the thread breaks, production stops.

For bag closing applications, you need high tenacity PP FDY yarn — at minimum 5.0 g/d, ideally 6.0–7.5 g/d. Not all PP FDY yarn machines can consistently achieve this range.
